I have a crap ton of homework to do right now, so this will be (to quote one of my professors) “quick and dirty.”
I have a blog tour for Identified coming up, which will run from July 8th-19th. You can see the schedule for the tour here. It is put on by Xpresso Reads and should be a lot of fun!
Also, there have been two author interviews with me lately, one at Steph’s Book Corner and one at We Do Write. Click on the links to read them. I hope that you learn some interesting stuff about the books!
Have a fun Wednesday!
So, we’re nearing the end of school and it’s been somewhat crazy. But I am here now with news!
First of all, I will be a librarian next year! I was offered a job at Dickinson High School and accepted. I get to do stuff with books for a living! What a great job for a nerd like me…
Also, Identified will be showcased in two different book tours this summer. One is being put on by Reading the Days Away Blog Tours and the other is by Xpresso Reads Blog Tours. Check out the schedule for the Xpresso reads tour here!
I recently did an author interview for Willing to See Less blog. You can read it here.
That’s all for now! I have a long day of reteaching Spanish II vocabulary tomorrow so ciao!
That’s right, Americans. Pay your taxes.
Speaking of boring, I don’t have a lot to share right now. I hope that will change soon, but April is kind of busy for me.
When May comes, I will have lots of fun things to talk about.
For now, please enjoy the short story I wrote titled “Gus.” It can be found under “Short Stories.”
Have a happy April!
Just wanting to do a quick post to share some book news and other good stuff.
1.) Identified is on sale! I lowered the price of the ebook to $1.99 for the month of March. Spring Break Reading! You can buy it on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
2.) Burdened: The Maya Price Story (Book 2) is coming along quite nicely. I finished another chapter this week AND I wrote the epilogue. No, I am not done with the book. However, I had an epiphany and decided to go ahead and write the epilogue. I will try to post another excerpt from the book soon.
3.) A wonderful book blogger (and friend) reviewed Identified: The Maya Price Story. Check it and other reviews out at Steph’s Book Corner. Ivana at Willing to See Less also reviewed Identified. Check out that review here. You’re going to love both of their blogs!
2. ) I am still reading my way through NPR’s Best Teen Novels list. I recently finished Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky, Looking for Alaska by John Green and Paper Towns by John Green. I loved Perks of Being a Wallflower and Looking for Alaska, but was quite bored by Paper Towns.
3. I am trying to read more indie/self-published authors. In fact, I am making March my “Indie Authors Month.” If you have any recommendations let me know! I recently bough tHopeless by Colleen Hoover, Never Forget by Emma Hart, and Someone Else’s Fairytale by E.M. Tippets. I’m really looking forward to reading these authors as they have traveled down the similiar paths into publishing that I have.
Well, amigos, that is all I have for now. For all my teacher and student friends, Spring Break is only a week away!
